It is the thing we do as friends.
Get together for a cup of coffee at our favorite little bistro. Talk, laugh, share.
Sharing to become friends.
Really?
Aren't we just holding each other off at an arms length? The bistro is safe. It has boundaries. What ever happened to "Come on over for a cup of coffee. I'll put on a pot", then sitting and chatting, or helping with chores that needed to done. Letting each other into our home, sharing our lives, our problems, our hopes and dreams with kids and toys under foot, dust on the furniture, maybe even a dirty dish in the sink, but who cared....friendship was more important than what the house looked like.
Pride is the best weapon Satan has to keep us isolated, lonely and miserable.
